 FIA Hill Climb European Championship

Trier (Germany)

The German race wasn’t succesful to the Spanish Angela Vilarino and
the Hungarian László Szász. Angela hit the banister with her car, and
the vehicle injured a bit. Moreover a Spanish pilot had an accident in
the first round, and this made a bad effect on Angela. Maybe this two
events was the reason that Angela couldn’t do her best and she came
the fourth in her cathegory. She is the 25 th on the absolute list.
László Szász  came the third in his cathegory and he is the fifth on the
absolute list in this race, which was won by the Italian Renzo Napione.

Sternberk (Czech Republic)

The Hungarian László Szász missed the training of the Czech race
because of a technical problem. Probably this, and the rainy weather
caused that he didn’t do his best in the second round. This race was
won by the Italian Fausto Bormolini, László Szász came to 17 th.
Angela Vilarino, who also competes in the Szász Motorsport, navigated
her car well in the 2000 cubic-centimetres cathegory. She came the
second behind the Czech Milan Svoboda, and she is the 15 th on the
absolute list.

The 21 year old Angela Vilarino did her best in the Hill European
Championship opening. The Spain girl starts in the Szász Motorsport
Team in this year, and the motorsport’s funs could already have paid
their attention to her since the first race. Angela competes with her
Coloni F-2000 Nissan in the cathegory of the two thoushand
cubiccentimetres cars, and she had more good results mainly in Spanish
car-racings in the past few years. She had some difficulties in the
Rechberg round because of the rain, but the young girl finally came the
second after the Czech Patrick Semlbauer. She fulfiled with 2 minutes
and 41 seconds the distance which was more than five kilometres long.

Didn’t begin well this year one of the best european hill climb pilot.
Ander Vilarino, who won the last year championship and also belongs
to the Szász Motorsport, finished the Saturday-training on the fileds,
next to the track because of a slipping. So his Reynard Mugen car
needs big repairing. The experienced, 27-year old Spanish boy, who
has more first and second places, didn’t seriously injured in the
accident. In spite of this a more than six-hours operation was done on
his damaged knee.
